| I sit here with tears in my eyes as I am very grateful for you to have opened your doors & welcomed me to see a piece of paradise. | | ~ Michelle (Apr 2002) |

A short 'round the island' trip in our vehicle gives you your bearings. Things to look at are the fishing boat jetties, the ikan bilis drying and sorting areas (Pangkor is famous for this dried whitebait type fish), the boat building yards, all the various temples, and obviously the beaches.
• Short and long hikes are marked, and a guide can be hired in for a tougher jungle experience. A short easy hike to a lovely beach is nearby.
• Bird watching – the highlights are the hornbills and the greater Argus pheasant. The island supports a large variety of birds, many of which can be seen at Tiger Rock.
• Boats can be hired for beach hopping, water skiing and fishing. A picnic daytrip to the charming uninhabited Sembilan Islands is highly recommended. Snorkeling and fishing gear is provided
• For longer staying guests, a lovely classic wooden sailboat is available for charter with advance notice.
• Tiger rock will arrange beach picnic lunches.
• For the artist in you, inspiration is everywhere! Paints are provided.
• Retail Therapy for those in need is aplenty on the island. Things to buy are colorful beach wraps and holiday gear, incense coils from the temple shop, dried ikan bilis and island fish crisps, and stuff from the kitchen ware shop.
For those who are into water sports, jetskis can be rented at the various beaches, waterskiing equipment is available as well as kayaks. Tiger Rock can arrange rental of this equipment on request.
Mountain bikes and motorcycles can be rented on the island. There is a road ridet around the island which is in parts very hilly cutting through fabulous jungle.
Two golf courses in stunning locations are within 15 minutes boat ride away for those who have the time to indulge. Tiger Rock will arrange games as requested.
For those who prefer to relax around the pool, we now have lady who will come in & decorate your hands & feet with henna in the traditional Indian style. Anyone can go home looking ultra exotic with tan & delicately decorated hands. A great fashion accessory. |
